Easy Recipes with my Favorite Trader Joe's Products!
So I recently made a video where I went to TJ and bought a bunch of things that sounded appetizing to me! From there, I started making meals through out the week with those ingredients and some other ingredients I had laying around the house. This was so affordable and fun to make, but also EXTREMELY EASY! I totally recommend to follow some of these recipes if you are kinda lazy in the kitchen.
Some of the recipes I made are the following:
Blueberry Lavender Matcha Latte
For this recipe I used:
-Blueberry Lavender Almond Milk
-Matcha powder
-Vanilla syrup
-Water
In a little cup I mixed 2 tablespoons of hot water with 1 1/2 tsp of matcha and made sure that it was well mixed and there were no matcha crumbles in there. Then, I added the milk and syrup to a frother and frothed the matcha. Finally I poured the milk and matcha mix into a mug and enjoyed! This can be made hot or cold.
Fall Apple Oatmeal
For this recipe I used:
-1 apple
-Splash of olive oil
-1 cup of oats
-1/2 cup of oat milk
-1/2 cup of water
-2 tbsp of brown sugar
-1 tsp of cinnamon
-1/4 cup of apple sauce
-1 tbsp of peanut butter
-Toppings
I started off by heating up a pan to medium heat, then adding my chopped apples and letting them cook a little. Once they were getting soft I added the brown sugar and cinnamon. I stirred it and after 2 minutes I added the oats, the milk and the water, and then add the apple sauce.. I let it cook for about 3-5 minutes and once it had the consistency I wanted it to have I added the peanut butter. I mixed it well, then took it out of the pan. I added my favorite toppings and voila!
Gluten Free Pumpkin Waffles
For this recipe I used:
-The pumpkin waffle mix
-1 egg
-Water
-2 TBSP of olive oil
For this recipe I simply followed the directions in the box! Super easy and super yum!
Crock Pot Pesto Chicken
In this recipe I used:
-1/2 of the Vegan Pesto from Trader Joes (you can find this in the refrigerated area close to the cheeses)
-2 chicken breasts
-Salt + pepper
I added all the ingredients into the crockpot and cooked in high for about 4-5 hours. Then I added some rice on the side it was great.
Homemade Pad Thai
For this recipe I used some ingredients that I got at Central Market but also used a bunch of ingredients from TJ so I am including it here!
-1/2 cup of cilantro
-1/2 cup of green onions
-1 bag of rice noodles
-1/4 cup of soy sauce
-1/8 cup of oyster sauce
-Splash of TJ sweet chilli sauce
-1/2 cup of yellow onions
-1 red bell pepper
-1 tbsp of garlic
-1 zucchini, chopped
-2 carrots, chopped
-2 chicken breasts
-1/4 cup of celery, chopped
-1/8 cup of peanuts
-1 cup of mushrooms
-2 eggs
In a pot boil some water. Once it is boiling add the noodles. After 6-8 minutes take the noodles out, wash them in cold water and leave in the side. I seared the chicken with garlic, salt and pepper. Then, when it was seared (and mostly cooked) I added all the chopped veggies. Let the veggies cook down, then added 2 eggs and made sure they cooked all the way. Once that was done, add the noodles and the sauces. Mix very well, and enjoy!
